| CAN MY INSURANCE COMPANY DICTATE
WHERE I HAVE MY CAR REPAIRED? |
|
No! The California
Motorist's Bill of Rights states clearly the the choice of
repair facility lies solely with the owner of the vehicle.
No insurance company has the right to coerce you to get vehicle
repairs at any shop not of your own choosing.

| WHAT ARE FOLKS AUTO BODY'S HOURS
OF OPERATION? |
|
We're here to cheerfully serve you
every Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm. If it's
nearing our closing time, but you're on your way to our shop,
just give us a call and we'll be happy to wait for you to
arrive.

| |
| CAN I GET A RIDE HOME WHEN I
DROP OFF MY VEHICLE FOR REPAIRS? |
|
Yes! We'll be more than happy
not only to take you home when you drop off your car for
repairs, but also to pick you up when the repairs are completed
and it's ready to be delivered back to you.
|
| |
| CAN I GET A RENTAL CAR? |
|
Yes! We are in very close
proximity to both Enterprise Rent-a-Car and Hertz Car Rental
offices. If you are a claimant, and the other person's
insurance carrier has accepted liability, the will also pay for
your car rental while your vehicle is under repair. If
you're the insured, you must have rental car coverage on your
insurance policy or else your company won't pay for it. If
you do need a car but don't have the coverage, we can help you
to get a favorable rate on a rental car. (For car rental
company information, simply click on the "Car Rental" link in
our website menu.)

| WHAT IF MY CAR HAS FRAME DAMAGE? |
|
There's an old misconception that a
car which has sustained "frame damage" is a total loss and
cannot be properly repaired. These days the majority of
motor vehicles on the road don't even have a frame. Most
cars are built as "unitized construction" or "unibody" vehicles.
That means that the body and frame rails are actually welded
together. Rather than the old-style thick steel I-beam
frame rails, unitized rails are made of lightweight box-type
metal. Folks Auto Body has invested heavily in the very
latest computerized laser measuring systems and frame
straightening equipment. You can be sure that we'll bring
you vehicle's measurements and tolerances right back into
factory new car specifications. You have our lifetime
warranty on that.

| |
| CAN YOU MATCH MY PAINT COLOR
WITHOUT PAINTING MY ENTIRE CAR? |
|
Yes! Our master painters
utilize the very latest in computerized paint matching and
mixing equipment. We use only the finest DuPont paint
products and guarantee to match your original factory color to
perfection.

| |
| MY CAR NEEDS SOME UNRELATED
SERVICING... CAN FOLKS DO IT FOR ME? |
|
Yes! Folks Auto Body is one of the very
few auto body shops to have its
own full-time mechanic on staff. Just let us know what you
need done and we'll see that it's expertly taken care of
for you at a very fair price.

COMPLETED? |
|

here at Folks. We do make sure that all our work is done
expeditiously, but properly. Sometimes there are delays in
the repair process that are beyond our control; such as parts

Meanwhile, your Folks Service Advisor will keep you regularly
updated on the progress of repairs.

| |
| I HAVE A DEDUCTIBLE. TO
WHOM DO I PAY IT? AND WHEN? |
|
Your deductible amount is due upon
completion of your vehicle's repairs and payable directly to the
repair shop. At Folks Auto Body, we accept all major
credit cards, cash or cashier's checks. We cannot accept
personal checks as payment for deductibles unless that payment
is made to us when the car is dropped off for repairs. In
such cases, the check must have cleared the bank before delivery
of the vehicle can be made.
|
| |
| WHAT IS BETTERMENT? |
|
Betterment is an insurance euphemism for depreciation. Certain parts
(such as tires) are
subject to a limited lifetime of usage.
If the insurance company buys you a new tire to replace a
damaged one that was already half worn out, they may charge you
50% of the replacement cost as betterment. In
other words, they'll buy half the tire and you buy the other
half. In such cases, the betterment charges are payable to
the repair shop at the same time as you pay your deductible.

| WHEN CAN I WASH AND/OR WAX MY
CAR? |
|
Your vehicle will be delivered back
to you freshly washed and spotlessly clean. If you must,
you may wash your car by hand in the first 30 days after you get
it back. Just wash it by hand and in
the shade. Use cool water and a mild car wash solution.
Don't wax your car for at least 3 months after delivery.
This will give the fresh paint time to properly cure and fully
harden.
